How to Reheat Chinese Takeout the Right Way

Leftovers are one of the best parts of ordering Super Wok. Reheating them correctly keeps noodles springy, rice fluffy, and fried favorites crisp. Follow these easy methods so your second-day meal tastes like it just came out of the wok.

Best Practices Before Reheating

Rice: Steam It Back to Life

Place rice in a microwave-safe bowl, sprinkle one to two tablespoons of water over the top, and cover loosely. Microwave in 45-second increments, fluffing between rounds, until it is hot and fluffy.

Noodles: Skillet or Microwave

For the best texture, heat a nonstick skillet over medium heat with a drizzle of oil. Add noodles and stir frequently for two to three minutes. If using the microwave, cover noodles with a damp paper towel and heat in one-minute intervals, stirring each time.

Fried or Crispy Items: Oven or Air Fryer

Spread egg rolls, wings, or crispy chicken on a baking sheet. Bake at 375°F for seven to ten minutes, flipping once. An air fryer works even faster—three to five minutes at 350°F will restore crunch.

Saucy Entrees: Gentle Stovetop Simmer

Place leftovers in a skillet with a splash of water or broth. Warm over medium-low heat, stirring occasionally, until the sauce is bubbling and the protein is heated through.

Once everything is hot, plate your meal with fresh garnishes like scallions or sesame seeds. Call (757) 938-9158 when you are ready for a fresh batch, or visit our full menu to try something new next time.
